Things that go bump in the night!

I had a bit of wild time in the bedroom last night.........and not in a good way. I have always had very vivid dreams. I can taste, smell and feel in my dreams and sometimes I even realize I am having a dream and do things purposely. Nothing too wild or demented, but just stuff I might not do in normal life. Fun, daring things.

Last night I was just having a boring, ordinary dream. I was at a fair by myself and when the fair was over I couldn't remember where I parked my car. I decided to just walk around until most of the people left so it would be easier to find the car. While I was walking around I started talking to a nice gal and she said she walk around with me and help. She saw her sister and brother-in-law and their 2 small children and they said they would help too. Everyone was just wonderful.

I was walking ahead with the guy and his little son, when I spotted my car and said "there it is". All of a sudden we were no longer walking, but we were in an SUV, the guy was driving, the little boy sitting on the armrest and me in the passenger seat. He drove right by my car. I told him to stop, that was my car. He kept going and then turned to me and said he was taking me for a ride. I tried to get out of the car, but had locked the doors and windows. I knew I had to get out there or he would kill me. we were going down a narrow winding alley so we weren't going very fast. I tried to grab the gear shift and put the car in reverse, but he knocked my hand away. I had to do something, so I lurched over and grabbed the steering wheel and pushed really hard on it.

As I grabbed the steering wheel in the dream, I woke up just as I was slamming my real life nightstand against the wall. The heavy cut-glass lamp bounced off the wall and back off my bed and the water glass went flying. Somehow the alarm clock stayed put.

Geez, I wonder what else I do in my sleep!

Palm Springs

Two weeks from tomorrow I will be in Palm Springs for my yearly visit with my pals Kari and Claudia.

Today I put the first application of self-tanner on lily-white chubbette legs. A tan is slimming.

I have a whole process to go through in the next 2 weeks to get ready. I went to my doc last week and got my tranquilizers for the plane ride. I have the same fear of flying as my daughter, Brooke.

Tomorrow I am getting a facial and having my brows waxed. I will also color my hair.
The day before I leave I will get the mani/pedi with Palm Springs Pink polish.
Why? I have no idea. We generally spend most of our time lounging at our pool, which is all ours and very private.

The only single men that aren't attached or gay, are 80 years old. It's not like I am going to impress anyone.

Oh, yeah. I also have to shave my legs and lose 20 pounds in 14 days because you just never know. Although I hope Mr. Right doesn't show up on the plane 'cause I'll probably be snoring, drooling and very sedated.

Bags, bags, bags

I have been loving making these totes. I have made 7 of these so far. Only have 4 on here because I gave one to Brooke, one to Maia and sold one to a coworker. I have more fabric and hope to make at least 2 more tomorrow.

Love this yellow/black one. I am still figuring out the inner pockets thing. I will probably have to go to a cooridinating solid color lining as some of the printed fabrics are $$$$$.

Snow, Snow, go away!

I just took this picture out my living room window. And, NO, the sunshine did not melt a thing. I do NOT drive in this stuff, so I am making the best of it by doing projects inside.

I took today off, but forgot to tell my coworker who gives me a ride in nasty weather. He called me and woke me up at 6:45 a.m. to tell me he would pick me up. Got up and made a big pot of coffee (decaf--:-().

I took a shower and even got dressed and put on makeup. Why? Good question.

I scrubbed the kitchen floor. It was pretty bad from the wet boots and such. I love a clean kitchen floor. It feels so good in bare feet. As soon as it was dry, I went in and opened the fridge and a whole carton of grape tomatoes came flying out at me. They hit floor, popped open the container and they bounced all over, I stepped on one, some bounced so hard they spit open and left what looked like blood splatter all over the floor and blinds. Geez!

I am getting pretty good at Wii Tennis, golf and baseball. My Wii age today was 36. That makes me feel better.

This little birthday retreat just isn't turning out at all like I planned. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to leave the house.
